Elissa and Taylor’s Wedding | Private Residence | Fairfield, Ct

What do you get when you combine a perfect early September day, a gorgeous bride and handsome groom (who also happen to be charming, gracious and all around lovely), a fabulous Fairfield County, CT property (the groom’s parents’ back yard) and a tented wedding celebration with food served in that best of the casual manner, by a variety of local food trucks?  Perfection! And the best of times. Truly an honor to have been included in Elissa and Taylor’s wedding this past September, and no one could describe the story of how they met, fell in love and planned their extraordinary wedding day  better than Elissa. Love their story, love this couple!

“Taylor and I met one fateful day when I was working at lululemon and he came in to buy some running clothes with his mom and sister. After he remarked about the price of the clothes I let him know we were hiring for the holidays and he could get a discount. A week later we were both working at lululemon in Westport together, he while finishing up grad school, and I while pursuing a career as a professional dancer. We developed a fast friendship through taking yoga classes together, coffee before work while discussing books, and maybe the occasional drink or two after work. After months of friendship we both realized there was more to our relationship than that.  That summer Taylor moved to NYC to begin his career in finance, and I moved there to advance my dance career and over the next several years our relationship blossomed.

Four years later Taylor proposed under a starry sky one autumn night at Hunter Mountain, NY. We celebrated the next day by zip lining!

Our wedding, which took place in Taylor’s parents’ backyard in Fairfield, was everything we could have ever wanted. With our love for the outdoors we couldn’t imagine getting married and celebrating anywhere but outside, and at a location that  meant something to us that we could really make our own. After our beautiful ceremony under an arbor built by my dad, our guests played corn hole, horse shoes, ladder ball, and sat for their photos at a homemade photo wall. Guests enjoyed pizza, sides, and salads from a pizza truck. Taylor and I kicked off the night with a special dance we had been rehearsing for months, and the dance floor stayed packed for the rest of the evening, while some guests took dance breaks by a blazing bonfire.  The day was everything we could have ever wanted. Great weather, great food, great friends and family, and great fun. We wish we could do it all over again!”

As do I,  Elissa and Taylor. Congratulations, once again to both of you!  And to everyone peaking in, like what you see? Would love your comments below!
