Erin and Andrew’s Wedding | The Delamar Greenwich Harbor | Greenwich, Connecticut

It was such a pleasure kicking off this wedding season on the first weekend of May with the adorable, charming and really all around terrific Erin and Andrew, and what better place to celebrate than at the exquisite Delamar Hotel on the water in Greenwich, Connecticut.  The weather was another one of those perfect spring days that we had so many of this year (after the “winter-to-remember”) and we certainly made the most of it, heading over to Binney Park in Old Greenwich before the reception. It’s always fun having a little extra time for those special pictures of the bride and groom and fun we certainly did have. A special shout out to wedding coordinator extraordinaire Mary Thornton of Party Party for keeping the day going like clock work and as always to our good friends Chris and Peter of Elegant Effects Floral for their amazing arrangements. Always a treat discovering the beauty they bring to each and every wedding day.  So with more than  a little help from the lovely couple I bring you the story of Erin and Andrew.

Our Story

“Erin and Andrew, who met online via eHarmony (surprise surprise), were matched in June 2013, and finally met for the first time on August 3, 2013. It was fate that Erin met Andrew on that day. When they think back to that first date, they both remember the easy flowing conversation that took them late into the evening. After that date, they spent nearly every single day together (except for a few work commitments/trips). Everything seemed to fall into place quite naturally. They became each other’s best friend and can’t imagine life without each other. They feel so lucky to have found each other in this big city and were so excited for the wedding. They are even more excited for their future together. Andrew always asks Erin when she fell in love with him because he says that he fell in love the moment he saw her. He knew she would be his wife. It took Andrew only 8 months to propose.

Wedding Day

Our wedding day couldn’t have been more wonderful. We certainly lucked out with the weather because we had been tracking it all week and were concerned about rain. My Dad even bought large golf umbrellas, just in case! It turned out to be a perfect spring day – sunny and in the 60s! In the morning while getting ready and leading up to the wedding ceremony, we were both anxious to see one another and say, “I do!” It was amazing to share this moment with our closest family and friends. Everything looked beautiful from the flowers to the cake.

We wanted the day to last a lifetime, but we knew that Bruce had captured special memories from the day in his photographs that would transport us back to our wedding any time we looked at them.”

And yes, I really do think we did, Erin and Andrew, and I do believe everyone else can’t help but agree. Congratulations, once again, to both of you!!
